How Many User Licenses Should I Get?
Advanced Time Reports is licensed based on the total number of named users with currently active accounts.
You can return to our store and purchase add-on licenses at any time. Once you’ve done this, you do not need to reinstall ATR Client – just add the new licenses to your current installation and begin using them right away.
Every account you create in ATR counts as one user. Any purchase entitles you to create only one Advanced Time Reports installation. For another installation of Advanced Time Reports, you have to purchase a separate license pack.
To request a transfer of licenses between installations, e-mail us.
Any account can be disabled at any time. Disabled accounts won’t count towards the license count. The account can later be re-enabled. This allows you to recycle licenses that were used by someone who left, etc.

How to Sign Up

Installing and Configuring Timesheet Reports Software
The installation of the ATR Web is a straight-forward process and does not require any special knowledge or complex setup. However, depending on the system where you are installing the ATR Web, you might need to adjust some settings.
In order to run Advanced Time Reports Web edition, please make sure Internet Information Service (IIS) and ASP are installed and running.
Also be sure that you have administrative user rights on the computer. By default, you do not have administrative user rights if you are logged on as a user other than the built-in administrator, even if you were added to the local Administrators group on the computer.
Follow procedure below to verify if your system has both services installed:
Install IIS 7
To open the Windows Features dialog box, click Start, and then click Control Panel
In the Control Panel, click Programs.
Click Turn Windows features on or off.
You may receive the Windows Security warning. Click Allow to continue. The Windows Features dialog box is displayed.
Expand Internet Information Services.Additional categories of IIS features are displayed. Select Internet Information Services to choose the default features for installation
Expand the additional categories displayed, and select any additional features you want to install, such as Web ManagementTools.
If you are installing IIS 7 for evaluation purposes, you may want to select additional features to install. Select the check boxes for all IIS features you want to install, and then click OK to start installation.
The progress indicator appears
When the installation completes, the Windows Features dialog box closes, and the Control Panel is displayed.
IIS 7 is now installed with a default configuration on Windows Vista or Windows 7. To confirm that the installation succeeded, type the following URL into your browser, http://localhost.
Installing ATR Web
- Visit our website http://www.advancedtimereports.com/predownload.asp and download the latest version available.
- The installation is conducted through the help of Master Installer and requires a number of steps. During the process, the following buttons are available: “Back” (to go back to previous step), “Next” (to continue the installation of the ATR Web) and “Cancel” (to interrupt the installation of the ATR Web).
- Select New Database option box when you are installing ATRWeb for the first time or when you are re-installing ATRWeb and would like to abate database data from the previous installation.
- Select Install new database option box in ATRWeb Setup window.
- Click on Next> button to go to the second step of the installation.
- Specify login and password for user you would like to be an administrator of ATRWeb
- Choose time modes you want to use
- Wait approximately a half of minute, watching how ATRWeb install itself…
Configuring ATRWeb and IIS 7
Open IIS Manager, click Application Pool.
Click on Advanced Settings
Set Enable 32-Bit Application to True and Process Model Identity to NetworkService.
Click Default Web Site and select ATR Web
Click on ASP and click advanced settings.
Enable Parent Paths
Setting up permissions
Open My Computer > Local Disk C: > Applications >Xpress Software
Right mouse click on the ATR Web folder, select Properties, choose Security tab and click Edit.
Click Advanced
Please type in IUSR and click Find Now. Windows should find two users, select both of them and click OK.
Click Advanced button again. Type in Network and click Find Now.
Select NETWORK SERVICE and click OK.
Select IUSR and click Full control check box.
Select NETWORK SERVICE and click Full control check box.
Select Internet Guest Account, click Full control check box and click OK.
Please click Advanced button.
Choose IUSR User and click edit.
Select Replace all existing… checkbox and click OK.
Congratulation ! ! ATR Web should be up and running.
Please go Start Menu, Xpress Software, ATRWeb and run ATR Web to verify.
Timesheets Project Control
Advanced Time Reports is a powerful solution designed to manage time more efficiently by recording projects and tasks as well as allocating them towards the correct client. Today, we would like to draw your attention to how to set up a project. To add a new project to your list, click on “Add” and select the client the project intended for.
- Give a project name and description.
- Set the number of hours allowed for the project
- Choose the status of the project and select priority.
- Refine the start and the end date of the project.
- Designate the rate of the project.
- Appoint department(s) responsible for the project.
- Alternatively you may specify the user(s) responsible for the project.
- Enable/Disable date and hour control. The warning message will appear, when the project is over the hour or date limit.
- Enable/Disable task control. The users will be required to select tasks they are working on.
- Enable email notification option if you wish to receive email message on the project completion.
